Cyber-Ark’s Inter-Business Vault™ provides a secure instant WAN (Wide Area Network) for rapidly connecting
customers, business partners and suppliers to the enterprises’ extranet. It facilitates the sharing and exchange
of sensitive information by enabling the secure sharing of file servers, FTP Servers and mail systems worldwide
without the need to build an expensive and complex WAN. It also eliminates the need to use special
proprietary file transfer, file sharing, and email security solutions.
Aladdin’s eToken adds strong two-factor authentication to all user accounts enterprise-wide. Using sensitive
on-chip encryption operations, authentication keys are never exposed to the PC environment. eToken may
be used to facilitate two-factor authentication to either of the Cyber-Ark Vault solutions for both interactive
users and automated components.

Protecting the Keys to the Enterprise – a Sample Application
One of the most popular applications of the Network Vault is for managing the thousands of administrative users
and passwords that exist in a typical enterprise, enabling IT staff, on-call administrators and local administrators in
the field to access administrative passwords without compromising security. A key element to this solution is the
Central Password Manager, which is capable of changing administrative passwords periodically, according to
configurable policies. It can also provide One-Time-Password functionality by changing passwords immediately after
they are used by administrators.
The Cyber-Ark Network Vault and Aladdin eToken
The combination of Aladdin’s eToken and the Network Vault creates a unique solution that significantly improves
the secure access to the information stored in the Vault. Within the Network Vault, where critical information such
as administrative passwords are securely stored, two-factor authentication is required for administrators to access
these passwords, and all access is closely audited. The capability of the eToken to encrypt and decrypt passwords
on the device itself, further strengthens the security of this combined solution.
